Emma
Studio-based Portrait Photographer
Many photographers spend years perfecting their camera skills, but very little time learning how to run a profitable business. Emma will talk about why success as a professional photographer isn't just about creating beautiful images. It's about pricing properly, understanding your numbers, attracting the right clients, and building systems that support your growth. When your business is profitable, you gain the freedom to invest in your camera skills, create your best work, avoid burnout, and enjoy the career you dreamed photography would give you. Because the photographers who thrive long-term aren't always the most talented. They're the ones who learn to put business first.
About me:
Emma has been a professional photographer for 18 years, primarily as a studio-based portrait photographer throughout her photographic career. She owns a busy portrait studio and also offers mentoring and training to photographers at all stages of their photography career. Before photography, Emma worked in marketing, which means she approaches her photography as a business first, and a creative outlet second. Emma teaches both practical photography classes and business and marketing workshops, sharing her expertise in running a successful business and surviving through all that life throws at you! Emma is known for not holding back information, for being open and honest about the highs and lows of being a photographer.
